JP Landscaping & Snow Services operates with a zero-tolerance policy towards ice and refreeze. Once snow has been cleared from all surfaces, we utilize a combination of sodium chloride (rock salt) and calcium chloride to keep surfaces from re-freezing and creating hazardous walking/driving conditions. We also can apply salt to surfaces during weather events, when needed, to provide for safer conditions.
When conditions require it, our technicians will visit your location daily after a weather event ends to address all refreeze concerns. We will visit your site at dawn or dusk and apply salt to all surfaces to ensure walkways and roadways are not slippery or hazardous. This procedure continues each day until we deem the site safe.
